Will the link between medical and dental insurance and the overall health of the nation be affected with federal funding of the Citizen Insurance programs now being debated in Washington? Some say that more people will be cared for under these proposals, improving the overall health of the nation. Others say this reform will undermine the system, lowering the quality of health care for everyone. I'm in the camp of money is money and that if medical professionals are still raking it in, it won't matter to them where it comes from. Thoughts?

Well I believe that the health of the nation will not improve substantially until the government starts regulating the food industry and promoting healthy eating in fundamental and effective ways. Doesn't matter too much what kind of insurance you have if you are obese at age 7 and get diabetes at age 12. That's the future of America on its current track. Same goes for cancer and regulation of consumer product and chemical industries...
