Pregnancy symptoms differ depending on the woman and the pregnancy; however, there are commons symptoms for detecting pregnancy. A woman may experience some, all or none of these symptoms. The list below describes some of these symptoms:
Missed Menstrual Cycle:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common sign that a woman may be pregnant.
Tender/Swollen Breasts:
Women's breasts may become tender, sore or swollen as early as 1-2 weeks after conception.
Implantation Bleeding:
This can be one of the earliest signs that a woman is pregnant occurring 6-12 days after conception when the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. It may cause cramping and spotting in some women.
Fatigue:
A woman may experience fatigue as soon as the first week after conception.
Nausea:
Also known as morning sickness, this symptom may occur between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women experience nausea all through out pregnancy while others may not experience this symptom at all. Still others may only experience this during the first trimester.
Headaches:
These are usually caused early on due to the sudden rise of hormones.
Backaches:
Although backaches occur through the duration of pregnancy, it may be early sign of pregnancy.
Frequent Urination:
This occurs 6-8 weeks after conception.
Darkening Areolas:
The skin around the nipples may darken during pregnancy.
Food Cravings:
Throughout a woman's pregnancy, she may feel the desire to eat certain foods.
If a woman is experiencing any of the above symptoms, it is recommend that she take a pregnancy test.
