Symptoms of Avian Flu

The risk of avian flu is low for most people, but there have been cases of human infection with the virus.

Symptoms of avian influenza are wide ranging. They may be typical flu-like symptoms (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat, and muscle aches) to eye infections, pneumonia, severe respiratory diseases (such as acute respiratory distress), and other severe and life-threatening complications.
