GallBladder and Bile Duct Cancers are Rare, at Least in the US -- Gallstones are the Primary Cause

Cancers of the gallbladder and bile duct are known collectively as bilary tract cancers. Bile duct cancer is also known as cholangiocarcinoma.
According to the Mayo Clinic, bilary tract cancers are relatively rare in the United States.
