Diagnosing and Testing for Hodgkin's Disease

According to the Mayo Clinic, the symptoms of Hodgkin's are similar to those of other disorders, such as influenza, making Hodgkin's difficult to diagnose. A tissue sample (biopsy) of an enlarged lymph node is needed to make the diagnosis.

Diagnosing and Testing for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

According to the Mayo Clinic, a doctor may use the following procedures to help diagnose non-Hodgkin's lymphoma:

  • Physical examination
  • Blood and urine tests
  • Imaging techniques
