Vitiligo, resulting in a loss of skin pigmentation, is visually stirking. Its appearance is enough to know something is wrong. However, since the exact cause of vitiligo is not known, and there are no direct tests for it, other skin conditions such as dermatitis and psoriasis have to be ruled out.
