Unless there is a known underlying cause for the pelvic pain, treatment is concentrated on relieving the pain. Treatment may consist of: over-the-counter pain relievers or prescription pain remedies, hormone treatments, antibiotics, antidepressants, physical therapy, counseling, and other therapies.
