The Prostate
The prostate is part of a man's reproductive system. It is located in front of the rectum and under the bladder. It surrounds the urethra, the tube through which urine flows. A healthy prostate is about the size of a walnut.
The prostate makes part of seminal fluid. During ejaculation, seminal fluid helps carry sperm out of the man's body as part of semen.

Multivitamin Use and Risk of Prostate Cancer in the National Institutes of Health - AARP Diet and Health Study
Regular use of multivitamins does not appear to be associated with increased risk for prostate cancer. But, overuse of these supplements—more than 7 times per week—may be associated with an increased risk of advanced and fatal prostate cancer.

Does being obese or even overweight increase a man's risk of developing prostate cancer and dying from it?
No to developing the disease, yes to dying once it develops.

Taking Vitamin D supplementation (1000 IU-2000 IU) by Black and white Americans would likely reduce overall cancer incidence rates by 30% for Black Americans and 10% for white Americans and increase cancer survival rates by 20-30%.

Jan 11, 2006 - A huge new study casts doubt on the effectiveness of standard screening tests for prostate cancer. The study of 72,000 men at V.A. hospitals in New England found that men who'd been screened for prostate cancer had no greater chance of surviving than men who are not screened! The finding is troubling and makes a tough decision even tougher.
