New research published on Environmental Science and Technology's Research ASAP website (DOI: 10.1021/es060356w)
reports that phthalates are being found in mother's breast milk. The answer is not to stop breast feeding, because the advantages outweigh the possible harm, but for women who are concerned with these findings to start eliminating as many of the unnecessary plastic products in their environment.
