Osteopenia and Osteoporosis

Age 30 is a magic age, because about that time in a person's life he or she has reached the greatest bone mass. This applies to both men and women. Another important stage begins at about 50 years of age for women and at 60 years of age for men. This is the beginning of osteopenia or osteoporosis when the body begins to lose more bone density than it rebuilds.

Osteopenia and Osteoporosis can be treated and perhaps prevented. For more information read the articles on Osteoporosis, Osteopenia and Prevention.
