According to the Mayo Clinic, currently there is no effective screening test for pancreatic cancer. However, if your doctor suspects pancreatic cancer, you may have one or more of the following tests to diagnose the cancer:
- Ultrasound imaging
- Computerized tomography (CT) scan
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatiography (ERCP)
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC)
- Biopsy
- Laparoscopy
