According to the Mayo Clinic, surgery is the most common treatment for endometrial cancer. Most doctors recommend either the surgical removal of the uterus alone (hysterectomy) or, more likely, the surgical removal of the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries (complete hysterectomy).
An aggressive form of endometrial cancer, or a cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, may require additional treatments, such as:
- Radiation
- Hormone therapy
- Chemotherapy
