Allergic Rhinitis
Symptoms include nasal congestion, sneezing, watery and itchy eyes
Symptoms begin almost immediately after exposure
Symptoms last as long as exposure continues and until the reaction triggered by the allergen ends
Season of the year does affect allergic rhinitis, if caused by outdoor allergens
Common Cold
Symptoms are the same as allergic rhinitis, can also include fever, aches, and pains
Symptoms most severe after a few days
Symptoms resolve within several days to a week
Season of the year does affect type of 'cold': spring (rhinovirus), winter (influenza, RSV), and fall (rhinovirus) viral seasons
