Hyperaldosteronism has two forms:
- from hyperplasia (enlargement) of both adrenal glands
- from a benign (rarely malignant) tumor of one of the adrenal glands
When the cause is a single adrenal tumor, the condition is labeled Conn’s Syndrome.
